Andrew Lindsay 2002-03 Season for Manly Warringah

The 2002/03 season marked a significant breakthrough for Andrew Lindsay, as after several seasons in the lower grades, he finally established himself in the First Grade ranks.

Starting the season in 3rd Grade, Lindsay made an immediate impact with the ball, taking 10 wickets at an outstanding average of 14 in just four games.

His performances earned him a promotion to 2nd grade, where he continued his impressive form, claiming 22 wickets in six matches.

His standout performance came in Round 5 against Randwick-Petersham, when he produced an excellent 5-47, further demonstrating that he was ready for the challenge of higher-grade cricket.

A further promotion to First Grade soon followed, giving Lindsay his opportunity to test himself at the highest level. He acquitted himself well, taking 8 wickets in a handful of games to push his season tally of wicket to 40 at an impressive average of 18.

It was a remarkable season of progression for Lindsay, moving from 3rd Grade to First Grade in the space of a few months and establishing himself as a genuine wicket-taking option for the club. His performances laid the foundation for what would become a very successful First Grade career.
