In 1972, BRIAN CONNOLLY (#226-pictured left) and GRAHAM JOHNSON (#207-[ictured right) added 173 for the 4th wicket as A grade rattled up a big score against TAS on the eve of the Final. Johno went on the 102 before retiring and Smooth made 84 until he was a victim to a young furute team mate Brian Mair, whose unflattering figures were as a result of TAS only using three bowlers. The match was drawn when the second day was washed out.

PAUL BENDEICH (#239) took 7-9 as TAS made only 15 in their first innings against A-Res grade. Waratahs built a big lead on the first innings but the fate of TAS in the second is unknown, except that Gary O'Halloran took 6-50.

In 1978, SYD PHILP (#269) and LYNDON STRONG (#337) added 102 for the 5th wicket for B grade v Easts. Lyndon went on to score 127 not out.

In 1989, PHIL MELVILLE (#542) and ANDREW McNEILL (#419) set an unwanted record in 1st grade, as they bowled 68 of the 85 overs it took current Tahs members Rick Porter (#903) to tear Waratahs heart out. Both ran up bowlers hundreds, the only time two bowlers did such in the one innings in all grades.

PAUL MELVILLE (#556) made 4 dismissals behind the stumps for 2nd grade as they copped a similar pasting, this time at the hands of another current Tahs member, Allan Donges (#907).
