ON THIS DAY - 27th September

In 1968, B grade copped a thrashing at the hands of a DLSC side which included Laurie McCann and Mark McCann and Jim Melville, who all would go on to make significant mark in Armidale cricket. Apart from Ron Marshall's (#73) fifty and some hitting in the tail from Bruce McClenaghan (#74), Waratahs didn't offer much and then chase leather on the second day, with TONY MORRISS (#78) having the displeasure of a bowlers century. Keeper GEOFF WHITTON (#85) held three catches.
