THE SEMIS - 4th Grade v Hillgrove Colts, Major Semi 1998

Waratahs went into the Major Semi Final unbeaten and despite having Hillgrove 3-10 in the early overs, they were unable to press through a patient batting line up, led by the ageless Harry Browne, who batted 65 overs for his half century. Carl Hofkamp (#677) and Roger Roan (#176) bowled 54 of Waratahs 86 overs. Hillgrove's middle order shined, giving them a solid total.

Waratahs started their innings on the Sunday and batted inexplicably two short, with only Carl Hofkamp and Wes Davis (#386) making double figures in a hugely disappointing batting performance and a 160 run loss.
