Vale Errol Cranney

The Northern Beaches cricket community is saddened by the passing of Errol Cranney on Monday, 2 November 2026.

Errol’s dedication to cricket and commitment as an umpire earned him life membership of NSW Cricket Umpires and Scorers, Manly Warringah Junior Cricket and the Manly Warringah Cricket Association.

The MWCA 4th Grade T20 competition shield, named in his honour, stands as a lasting tribute to his contribution and love for the game.

In Errol’s honour, we invite all MWCA clubs and teams to wear black armbands and observe a minute’s silence before their games on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026.

We remember Errol with deep appreciation and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
