Andrew Kemmiss - Manly Cricket
Andrew Kemmiss made a significant contribution to Manly over several seasons during the 2000s.
Arriving from Lindfield Shires ahead of the 2002/03 season, Andrew immediately became part of a successful era for the club, contributing to the Club Championship victory that season. He later took on a leadership role as 4th Grade captain during the 2005/06 season.
Playing across 2nd, 3rd and 4th Grade during his time at Manly, Andrew’s standout season undoubtedly came in 2005/06. As 4th Grade captain, he made an outstanding start to the season, recording scores of 76, 114 and 101 in his opening three innings.
He went on to score 517 runs at an average of 47 for the season, demonstrating that he was a player of considerable ability even at 4th Grade level. Although 4th Grade narrowly missed out on a finals appearance, Andrew’s contribution to another successful Club Championship campaign was significant.
Across his Manly career, Andrew scored 1,525 runs, including three centuries and nine half-centuries, while also making a valuable contribution through his leadership in the lower grades.
